Long time no bloging...

Well, it has been a long long time since the last post.
I started collaborating with the bleepwatch blog, posting about new recordings in the netlabel world. So I will keep posting here, but not as much nor the same way neither.
At the moment I'm trying to use more features of the social bookmarking, so I'll be experimenting with it :-)

Pi - Energy Of Sound [FFS86]

"Pure energy of sound."
That's really what Energy of sound is. Great noise work published by the Polish-Russian far from show biz netlabel.
This one hour of noise music release by Pi is really interesting, Pi tells that he has been making music for 2 years (and just 1 making noise), not bad at all! You better keep on creating ;)
If you really enjoy noise music, this is one for you.

Jonas Lindgren - Raketgatan 13 [GPY#005]

"Raketgatan 13 was first performed live in a rudimentary form at Kulturhuset Underjorden in May 2006. Further abstracted, condensed and restructured at Nyckelpigan in June 2006.

This recording marks the end of Nyckelpigan, and is dedicated to Hanna, Linus & Viktoria. Good times behind us, good times ahead of us.
Recorded at Nyckelpigan, June 2006."

This is an ambient-drone recording, no doubt about it ;) It's a one track recording (19:59 minutes), very organic and flowing drones. This track has been released as open source by Jonas himself (the glitchpunkyouth).

Necrosalad - live in kolyma [antisocial#008]

"The Kolyma region is located in the far northeastern area of the Russian Federation. Under Joseph Stalin's rule, it became the most notorious region of the GULAG (the Russian acronym for the Main Administration of the Corrective Labor Camps).
It was Kolyma's fearsome reputation that caused Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn to characterize it as the "pole of cold and cruelty" in the GULAG system.
Welcome in the country of white death."

Live in Kolyma
is "a noise album. Almost made with an old mic and various items which make funny sounds". This Necrosalad's release is published by antisocial netlabel. Here will you find 5 tracks full of distortion, screaming, feedback... NOISE.

Umisetsu & Martin Dot - Flowers EP [rain005]

Here's another soundscape release. This EP was published by rain netlabel: "The second collaboration by Martin Dot and Umisetsu. This music is full of etereal, lush chords and subtle piano drops."
Flowers EP is a 25 minutes long track entitled Greenwater. This is not really the kind of soniclandscapes I enjoy best, this is quite monotonous (for me), it's really really ambient musci, so this is one of those you play when you really really want to relax.

Ze- - Electronics Anonymous [HR042]

"Industrial sounscapes around themes of water/computers/warehouse space. As ZE- put it, and I quote, "been done before but not as dark as this".
This is the first release for Hazard Records from ZE-, otherwise responsible for some interesting projects, like the London-based Entr'acte label, Electronics Anonymous or the Soundtexture project."

I must say that I have really enjoyed electronics anonymous. Great soundscape work, you will notice when it's ending, until then Ze submerges you in sound. What I don't really think is that this is a so dark recording, I agree with the "done before" thing, but that's not a problem at all.
Do you like soundscapes? You'll like electronic anonymous then.

Radical Poland - VA

"Hard to believe, but some of you are expecting the worst from today. The signifiant date of June 6th, 2006 (6.6.06 for those who haven't noticed yet) brings apocalyptic and purely infernal visions to some people's minds.

Well, we don't really trust the numerology and we don't expect the end of the world today... But, with whole respect, we have prepared something special for those who will feel a bit disappointed at the end of the day.

From Tomasz Twardawa's structured and industrial-like untitled piece to Mantichora's wall of sound, from Palsecam's yelling and howling to Scordatura's harsh noise, from XV Parowek's scary and frightful "Wild Dwarves" to Noisense's chaos and destruction - we've got everything you might need to celebrate a day like today.

The mighty powers of six most radical Polish noise artists came to meet in one place, the Radical Poland Compilation is here waiting for you.

Download and listen.

Face the music at your own risk."

This is the way audioTONG netlabel presents this release. Well, Radical Poland is a very interesting compilation of noise creators from Poland. For those who enjoy the more harsh noise kind of experimental (de)constructions.

Tüsüri - Queriac [mhrk039]

This recording, published by Mahorka, is a very interesting experimental piece by Tüsüri (Oier Iruretagoiena). Oier comes from Basque land and, as I understand, he's been active as Tüsüri at least for 3 years now. Queriac is 19 minutes long (4 tracks), not long, but enough to catch you, it's quiet ambient but complex in composition. In this recording appears Gorka Matxinbarrena playing drums on track 2.
In my opinion, this one's a "must listen", I'm sure you'll get your Queriac copy.

I'd like to mention the great cover artwok by Ibai Edward Harris.

Nole Plastique - Sourire En Souriant [ns48]

Nole Plastique is a "Electro-acoustic project of Roman Kutnov / Kazan' / Russia". Sourie en Souriant is a great experimental ambient released by nexsound. Almost an hour (12 tracks) of ambient textures created from processed acoustic instrumenst, as nexsound says: "Nole Plastique creates warm, rich textured landscapes by mixing and sculpting the noises of computer processed acoustic instruments. Melodies and jumping cracked sounds make beautifully humming and gather round the listener a digital mist".
I really enjoyed the "second" part of the album best, that means from track number 8. Anyway, if you enjoy with the more ambiental kind of noise music, I think you'll like this one. Worth checking out.
